The Process

From mountain to container.

Every boulder we ship has travelled six deliberate stages — each one a discipline refined over twenty-seven years.

01

Prospecting

Geologists survey serpentinite belts in the Cordillera, sampling float boulders and bedrock signatures that betray nephrite's signature dense, fibrous structure.

02

Claim & Permit

Mineral claims are staked and exploration permits secured in cooperation with First Nations stakeholders and BC mining authorities.

03

Extraction

Heavy excavators and rock breakers lift in-situ boulders — some weighing up to 30 tonnes — from alluvial deposits and primary outcrops.

04

Saw Testing

Each boulder is window-cut on site with diamond chainsaws to reveal interior colour, translucency, and structure before transport.

05

Grading

At our processing facility, lots are sorted into mine-run, A, AA, and AAA grades by veteran graders using strict colour and clarity standards.

06

Export

Boulders are crated in custom timber frames, documented, and containerised for ocean freight to ports worldwide.

A note on stewardship

Mined with the mountain in mind.

Our claims operate under strict reclamation plans. Every site we work is restored and replanted — leaving the land closer to its original state than the regulations require.
